Youngberg Hill is right on the Yamhill County Bicycling Route and we get many guest staying with us to ride every year.  This day was a special treat when the whole house is filled with cyclists.  Only the strong at heart finish at the top of our hill.  Those with  common sense park at the bottom of our driveway and start the ride from there.  Either way, it a beautiful way to enjoy the beautiful views of this amazing valley.bikes

Now this is work!

June 23rd, 2009 by Nicolette Bailey

June is a very busy time in the vineyard with shoot positioning, wire raising, suckering, shoot thinning, spraying, mowing, etc. So hoeing unfortunately takes a back seat to those activities. That is obvious by the height of the grass surrounding these new vines planted last fall.

Only dedicated workers like these will work all day every day and do the job well. Thank all of them for their efforts for without them we would not have the woanderful winehoeing2to drink that we enjoy.hoeing

We have an past guest and friend, Jeremy Fry and his daughter coming out to stay and work in the vineyard tomorrow. Then the first big wedding of the season on Saturday for our good friends Jeanne and Ed. The weather looks to be shaping up to be perfect.

Another great day in the vineyard as the vines continue to grow and we are managing the canopy.
