Dallas Morning News

March 28th, 2011 by Nicolette Bailey

The Dallas Morning News has awarded the 2008 Jordan Pinot Noir a silver in this year’s competition. We don’t enter many competitions, but there are a few like this one that truly is an international competition that means something. The Jordan bottling continues to be our flagship bottling that best reflects the characteristics of Youngberg Hill. Check it out on http://www.dallaswinecomp.com.

Congratulations to Tom Meicho who won our raffle this weekend at SIP for the magnum of 2008 Jordan Pinot Noir. It is a specially engraved and hand painted bottle that will be a show piece in Tom’s cellar even after he drinks it’s contents.

“Fabulous, Relaxing, Informative Experience”

March 14th, 2011 by Nicolette Bailey

Date of review: Mar 11, 2011 – New

We were on a wine tasting, bed and breakfast tour with a group of friends. I cannot say enough good about Joe Dobbes and Wayne Bailey. Informative, friendly. We were treated like part of the family at Youngberg Hill.
Youngberg Hill is a beautiful place with friendly helpful staff. Our food was fabulous.
This was an experience we will remember for many years to come. We hope to be able to have the experience again.

Classic Wine Auction

March 12th, 2011 by Nicolette Bailey

Our Wine Dinner for the Classic Wine Auction was great Thursday night. The Chefs from Aquariva did a marvelous job and everyone had a great time. Dobbes Family Estate brought some wonderful wines shared along side our estate wines, paired perfectly with Andy’s dishes. Thanks to all.
Our next dinner on The Hill will be April 2nd with our guest Chef Erol form Timberline.
The view that evening was spectacular as well.

Oergon Wine Country

March 2nd, 2011 by Nicolette Bailey

Just a reminder of Oregon Wine Country in summer.

There are few photographers that can presents a picture that captures how amazing it is to stand atop Youngberg Hill and look at this amazing land.  Josh Michell is one of those few.   Take a look at this!
