Lot’s going on today. In the vineyard we are spraying to protect the vines, watering the new plants, and staking the new plants.

We have a full house of guests wine tasting today, enjoying our winetasting reception, and learning about our vineyard and farming practices. We like to make our wine tastings a learning experience about the viticulture, the geology, the terroir, and our wine making philosphy.

The 2008 s were barrel tasted again yesterday and are evolving beautifully in the barrel. Wow, what a vintage the 2008 will be. But lest us not forget the 2007s, while still very young (we just bottled 2 months ago) the are delightful, easy to drink, low alcohol, and nicely balanced. An elegant vintage that Oregon is known for.
